Overview

NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting an onsite GIS Support Analyst to support the Air National Guard GeoBase program at Joint Base Andrews. This role combines GIS technical work, stakeholder engagement, and user support, ensuring geospatial tools and data are effectively delivered and understood across the organization.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Joint Base Andrews, MD (Onsite, full-time)
  • Telework: Not routine/expected
  • Environment: Government office, high stakeholder interaction
  • Travel <10% of the time

Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite GIS support and serve as a primary point of contact for users
  • Perform GIS analysis, mapping, and data updates (ArcGIS Pro)
  • Work directly with stakeholders to understand needs and provide solutions
  • Ensure data quality (QA/QC) and support integration into enterprise systems
  • Create simple communication products (updates, guides, presentations)
  • Assist with training support and user guidance
Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of professional GIS experience
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro (or similar GIS software)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Experience working in a professional or client-facing environment
  • Strong organizational and task management skills

Nice-to-Have:

  • DoD / Air Force / ANG experience
  • Familiarity with enterprise GIS or data standards
  • Experience supporting training or developing materials
  • Experience with SharePoint or web-based tools
