Job description

onCORE Origination, a rapidly growing development services firm in the renewable energy industry, is currently seeking a GIS/Land Campaign Manager to join our team of experienced developers and land agents. We’re passionate about development and our mission is to create a world powered by renewable energy. If you’re a dynamic and seasoned professional with a background in GIS, land campaigns & property vetting in the renewable energy sector, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and execute land campaigns for various clients across the US in the renewable energy sector (solar, BESS, EV Charging, etc.)
  • Build site lists from specific criteria (interconnection, environmental, buildable area, etc.) for targeted outreach via GIS Software
  • Utilize KMZ’s and other data layers to optimize GIS searches
  • Vet and rank properties for development potential & red flags via GIS software
  • Review zoning codes and ordinances to determine viability and path to permitting for land parcels and renewable energy projects
  • Work within G Suite/Microsoft Office to clean and prepare site lists and mailers for dispatching
  • Coordinate with admin and skip trace team to provide lists to onCORE cold callers and digital outreach team
  • Review and analyze environmental hazards on properties via GIS software (Wetlands, Topo, Flood Zones, Conservation Easements, Critical Habitats, etc.)
  • Analyze and strategize improvements for internal processes and activities related to land campaigns
  • Collect, analyze & present data from land campaigns to optimize and improve results
  • Communicate with and report to company founders as it relates to land campaigns
  • Professionally communicate with clients on campaign/siting strategy, on-going activity reports and campaign results as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or further education
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in land campaigns, GIS and/or property vetting for development within the renewable energy industry
  • Proven track record of successful land campaigns and/or GIS projects.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy greenfield development and permitting
  • Proficiency in using GIS tools (Experience with AO/PVcase and/or Paces is a plus)
  • Ability to work with KMZ’s and similar file structures
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing zoning codes & ordinances
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing hosting capacity maps
  • Able to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Exceptional communication skills (internal and external)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in using project management software and tools such as Google Suite
