The Senior FME Specialist – GIS & Land Systems Integration will support geospatial data integration, workflow automation, and land information management within a multidisciplinary infrastructure environment. Working closely with GIS, land, design, and digital delivery teams, the successful candidate will help improve interoperability, data quality, and operational efficiency across multiple digital platforms.

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize FME workflows to transform, validate, and integrate data across systems such as geographic information systems, computer-aided design/building information modelling platforms, document repositories, and external data sources.
  • Support the integration of land, survey, utility, environmental, and alignment data into GIS environments.
  • Develop data pipelines and connectors to enable reliable, scalable exchange of information between project systems and application programming interfaces.
  • Support the structured management of high-volume land parcel and property information for use in GIS and land acquisition processes.
  • Develop automated workflows to support the identification and tracking of requested properties and lands, as well as the management of land attributes such as access dates, occupancy, and temporary use requirements.
  • Populate, update, and maintain GIS datasets used for land request submissions and related project workflows.
  • Implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort in repetitive and high-volume tasks, including data ingestion, synchronization, validation, quality control, reporting, and submission preparation.
  • Ensure workflows are rule-based, scalable, and integrated with project systems and controlled data repositories.
  • Integrate FME workflows with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, web GIS services, and the project’s common data environment to support secure storage, controlled access, and efficient data sharing.
  • Enable publication of data to web-based GIS platforms for stakeholder access, review, and interaction.
  • Apply data validation rules, schema controls, and metadata preparation practices aligned with geospatial standards and project requirements.
  • Support traceability and auditability of data transformations and exchanges across systems.
  • Prepare GIS datasets and workflows that support advanced digital delivery use cases, including digital twin integration and cross-discipline information flows between GIS, BIM, and other project management systems where required.
  • Deliver clean, structured, and reliable datasets to support analytics, simulation, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across GIS, land, environment, design, and digital delivery functions.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in geomatics, geography, geographic information systems, engineering, computer science, or another relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and practical experience may also be considered.

Years of experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in professional experience in geospatial data integration, enterprise GIS environments, workflow automation, and land or infrastructure-related data management is required. Experience supporting large infrastructure, transportation, or other complex multidisciplinary projects will be considered a strong asset.

Technical competencies:

  • Advanced proficiency with FME, including Form, Flow, and/or Server
  • Strong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro
  • Experience working with geodatabases, spatial data models, and structured geospatial datasets
  • Knowledge of extract, transform, and load processes, application programming interfaces, and data integration frameworks
  • Familiarity with data exchange between GIS and design environments such as CAD or BIM platforms
  • Experience with relational databases, data validation, and quality assurance / quality control processes
  • Strong understanding of land and parcel-based data models, multi-stage land acquisition workflows, and management of high-volume datasets
  • Experience working within common data environments and multi-stakeholder digital delivery ecosystems
  • Ability to design reusable, scalable, and maintainable ETL workflows
  • Understanding of interoperability, system integration, and good data governance practices
  • Ability to support structured data delivery for analytics, reporting, simulation, and digital twin applications
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in French and in English*
