Job & Responsibilities:
RF Engineer III is responsible for conducting highly complex network system administration and design engineering activities to maximize network connectivity and capacity. Performs engineering functions related to interconnect equipment and facilities, signaling systems, switches and traffic. Responsibilities may include: performing cost justification studies; planning, ordering and deploying network components; forecasting network/equipment needs and recommending appropriate configurations; resolving complex maintenance problems; monitoring traffic flows to ensure call delivery optimization; and providing technical leadership and expertise to less experienced engineers. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent. 5 years related work experience.

Position Summary: Provides radio frequency (RF) optimization support. Analyzes and develops RF optimization solutions for wireless radio communications systems, including network performance analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices. Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Candidate must possess strong communication, organizational, and technical writing skills with ability to work on several time sensitive tasks simultaneously.

LTE Optimization:

Multi band LTE traffic management techniques

Must understand OFDMA air interface for TDD and FDD

OEM specific experience with Samsung, ALU, Nokia

Detailed Layer 3 Drive test data analysis to drive network optimization and performance improvement

Knowledge and Experience with GIS based analysis

Detailed knowledge with Mapinfo, Planet and Atoll, XCAL XCAP or Windcatcher

*Basic Qualifications

MS in electrical engineering or related field plus 3 years related experience or BS in electrical engineering plus 5 years related experience or eight years related work experience post high school.

Three years RF engineering experience working with radio communications systems, including network performance analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition

Thorough knowledge of wireless systems performance and diagnostic metrics and their supporting statistical data from infrastructure nodes.
