Job Summary:
We seek an individual passionate about teaching and invested in student success. If you desire to make a difference in the lives of undergraduate students, we invite you to apply for an adjunct faculty position in Geography. Scope:
The Department of Criminal Justice, History & Political Science in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a part-time, adjunct faculty position in Geography. Candidates with backgrounds in all areas of Geography will be considered.
Principal Responsibilities
This individual will serve as the instructor of record for World Regional Geography and Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or other courses as assigned. Typical assignments include one or two courses each semester, depending on student demand. Questions concerning the position should be directed to the Department Chair, Dr. Keith Durkin (k-durkin@onu.edu).
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as well as the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate Geography and GIS courses are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Geography or 18 hours graduate coursework in Geography is required. Those with a doctorate in Geography and experience teaching Geography at the university level are encouraged to apply.
