Geologist / Geological Engineer - Denver, CO/ Hybrid,

SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector.

We are seeking a Geologist / Geological Engineer.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Support geological and geotechnical investigations for mining projects.
  • Perform geological mapping, core logging, rock mass characterization, and structural interpretation.
  • Evaluate lithology, alteration, discontinuities, faults, bedding, and other geological features relevant to mine design and operations.
  • Analyze and interpret geological, geotechnical, geophysical, and spatial datasets.
  • Support field investigations, drilling programs, site inspections, and data collection.
  • Prepare geological maps, technical figures, analyses, and reports.
  • Collaborate with geologists, mining engineers, geotechnical engineers, and other technical specialists.
  • Participate in domestic and international site visits and field programs as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, geological engineering, geophysics, or a related geoscience discipline.
  • Strong foundation in field geology, structural geology, mineralogy, and rock identification.
  • Experience with geological mapping, drill core logging, or rock mass characterization.
  • Ability to develop sound geological interpretations from field observations and technical data.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical writing and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary consulting environment.
  • Capability and fitness for intermittent domestic and international travel and fieldwork.
  • Candidates must possess valid authorization to work in the United States.

Your preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in geology, geological engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with GIS, geological modeling, remote sensing, or geophysical interpretation.
  • Familiarity with Python or other tools for analysis of geological and spatial data.
  • Experience in professional consulting services preferred.
