The Opportunity

The BIM Facilities Specialist is a senior Revit-focused technical specialist responsible for the development, management, and delivery of facility, building, and asset models on large-scale infrastructure projects. This role serves as the subject matter expert for Revit-based workflows, ensuring high-quality model development, BIM standards compliance, and seamless interoperability between building and infrastructure design environments.

The successful candidate will possess extensive experience working with Revit on complex infrastructure projects and demonstrate strong knowledge of Civil 3D integration workflows, shared coordinate systems, model exchange processes, and multidisciplinary coordination within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) environments.

Your Impact

  • Serve as the technical lead for Revit-based building and facilities modelling activities across infrastructure projects

  • Develop, maintain, and manage complex Revit models for stations, maintenance facilities, operations buildings, tunnels, utility structures, and other infrastructure-related assets

  • Coordinate building and facility models with Civil 3D, rail, utility, and transportation design models to support multidisciplinary project delivery

  • Manage interoperability workflows between Revit and Civil 3D, including shared coordinates, surface integration, corridor references, utility coordination (pipe networks), and model exchange processes

  • Support project BIM execution through model management, quality control, standards compliance, and digital delivery workflows

  • Develop and maintain Revit templates, family libraries, project standards, and modelling best practices

  • Participate in design coordination reviews utilizing Autodesk Forma / ACC and Navisworks

  • Work closely with architects, engineers, BIM coordinators, and discipline leads to resolve modelling and coordination challenges

  • Provide mentoring and technical support to junior BIM staff and project teams

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of BIM standards, workflows, and digital delivery processes

  • Support asset information and data requirements associated with project handover and operational readiness

  • Participate in BIM workshops, project coordination meetings, and design reviews

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • 4 to 5 years of experience in BIM, digital delivery and workflows

  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including model management, family creation, documentation, work-sharing, project setup and interoperability workflows

  • Strong experience delivering Revit models on transportation, transit, rail, infrastructure, institutional, or large multidisciplinary projects

  • Demonstrated experience integrating Revit and Civil 3D models within complex project environments

  • Strong understanding of shared coordinate systems, georeferencing, model federation, and infrastructure coordination workflows

  • Experience using ACC: including Docs, Design Collaboration, Model Coordination, and Issues

  • Experience developing and maintaining Revit templates, family standards, and BIM content libraries

  • Thorough understanding of BIM Execution Plans, LOD, LOI, and project BIM quality requirements

  • Working knowledge of ISO 19650 information management principles

  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary project delivery involving civil, structural, architectural, MEP, rail, and utility disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Architectural Technology, Building Sciences, Construction Technology, or a related field

  • Autodesk Professional Certifications in Revit, ACC, or related Autodesk technologies is an asset

  • Experience in creating robust documentation including written procedures, workflows, diagrams and presentations

  • Experience supporting asset digitization, digital twin initiatives, or facilities information management

  • Experience with Dynamo, Python, or Revit API automation

  • Familiarity with IFC, COBie, GIS integration, and asset data management workflows

  • Experience supporting commissioning, operations, maintenance, or owner handover requirements

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77 400 - $102 500

MB & ON: $70 600 - $97 200

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $69 900 - $ 92 900
