Job description

Summary
Product Operations (Product Ops) is a tactical, operations-focused role that helps Digital Product Management execute consistently across squads. This role operationalizes product tooling, education, enablement, and execution planning so the Product Group-Product Managers, Product Designers, and UX Researchers-can spend more time on strategy and customer value. This role is tactical and enablement-focused, not an enterprise strategy role; it exists to help others execute strategy well.
Why Jewelers MutualSince 1913 we've been committed to supporting the Jewelry industry and putting customers at the center of everything we do. With over a century of trusted expertise, we're financially strong, forward-thinking, and driven by curiosity. Guided by our core values of Agility, Accountability, and Relevancy, we lead through innovation.
As a technology focused organization, we embrace cutting-edge tools and data-driven insights to continuously improve our products, services, and customer experience. Our mission is to be the industry's most trusted advisor by investing in our people, adopting new technologies, and striving for excellence.
We're dedicated to fostering growth through collaboration, powered by bold thinking, teamwork, and the passion of our people.
What You'll Be Doing
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Own the operational setup and ongoing hygiene of product tooling (e.g., Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Productboard), including creating playbooks and standards for how tools connect - inputs, outputs, handoffs, templates, and definitions.
  • Identify friction points across squads, simplify product workflows, and drive adoption of tools and practices through targeted enablement.
  • Coordinate preparation for planning sessions - inputs, pre-reads, and readiness checks - and capture and publish outcomes, including decisions, priorities, dependencies, risks, and next steps.
  • Design and deliver enablement sessions and onboarding resources for the Product Group (Product Managers, Product Designers, and UX Researchers) and cross-functional partners on product practices and tools.
  • Support squads and Product Managers/Designers with tactical coordination, including timelines, dependencies, action tracking, and follow-ups.
  • Improve visibility into progress indicators, metrics, and UX research findings and reporting without creating unnecessary overhead, tightening communication loops to surface cross-team impacts.
  • Gather feedback from Product Managers, Design, Engineering, and leaders; recommend pragmatic process and tooling improvements; and run small experiments to improve how the product organization executes and collaborates.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in Product Operations, Program Management, or Product Management (Product Operations experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to operationalize processes and tools, facilitate planning, and drive adoption through enablement.
  • Strong written communication skills and comfort building reusable documentation and playbooks.
  • Working knowledge of product and workflow tooling such as Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Productboard, and Slack/ChatOps.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Product Designers, UX Researchers, and Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience migrating or standardizing product tooling (e.g., transitioning teams to Productboard)
  • Familiarity with behavioral analytics and reporting tools such as Mixpanel, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Experience using Claude or similar AI tools to support product operations work.
  • Background as a Program Manager or Product Manager motivated by solving operational problems and improving day-to-day execution.
What We Offer You
  • Competitive Compensation & Benefits: Includes performance bonuses, generous paid time off, and a top-tier retirement program with 401(k) matching and additional company contributions.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work alongside talented, passionate peers who value ownership and continuous learning.
  • Community & Giving: Benefit from 50% charitable gift matching and paid volunteer time to support nonprofit causes.
  • Great Place to Work® Certified: Join a team recognized for an environment of innovation and growth.
