About the Opportunity

As a Mill Machinist, you'll set up, operate, and adjust multi-axis CNC mill machines to produce complex, high-precision components that meet exacting quality requirements. You'll play an important role in delivering reliable parts that support critical aerospace and defense programs.

As an AS9100D-registered high-precision machine shop, we manufacture and assemble complex components for aerospace and defense prime contractors supporting federal government and military programs. What You’ll Do

  • Operate and set up multi-axis CNC mill machines within specified tolerances by following work instructions, machine programs, and engineering drawings.
  • Make program adjustments using G-code, Mastercam, CAMWorks, and/or GibbsCAM.
  • Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions and adjust machines as necessary.
  • Thoroughly inspect first-piece runs and modify machine speeds, feeds, and tooling to ensure the precision and accuracy of manufactured parts.
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and uniformity.
  • Complete operation-specific quality control documents as needed.
  • Assist with training other operators and move to other machines as production needs require.
  • Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines when necessary.

  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and machine programs.
  • Ability to operate multiple CNC machines.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Mastercam, CAMWorks, and/or GibbsCAM.
  • Experience with Fanuc and Fadal controllers is a plus.
