Job description

The Savannah Ghost Pirates are seeking a Photography Intern for the 2026-27 ECHL! This internship provides hands-on experience in sports photography, and content creation while working alongside our creative team. If you have a passion for capturing compelling visuals and telling stories through photography, this is the perfect opportunity to build your portfolio in a fast-paced, professional hockey environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Capture RAW photos at Ghost Pirates events, community appearances, and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Edit photos using team presets and enhance images for social media, marketing materials, and website use.
  • Organize and upload files to SmugMug, tagging and categorizing media for easy retrieval.
  • Assist in creating visual content plans, helping strategize the best ways to capture and present engaging imagery.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and creative storytelling through photography.
  • Stay up to date on trends in sports media and photography to bring fresh ideas to the team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DSLR/mirrorless cameras and an understanding of photography composition and settings.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or other photo/video editing software.
  • Strong storytelling skills and a passion for capturing dynamic sports moments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust quickly to different shooting conditions.
