GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as principal contact between the Parts Department and all customers for the sale of parts and accessories.
  • Primary goals are to provide customer satisfaction and maximize dealership parts sales.
  • Previous parts counter or body shop experience preferred 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide fast and courteous service to all Parts Clients and Technicians.
  • Answer the telephone in accordance with dealership guidelines.  Solicit orders or answer questions as appropriate.
  • List and price out parts on repair orders and/or counter tickets.
  • Write purchase orders for parts from outside suppliers, as required, and obtain management approval.
  • Properly input lost sales into the inventory control system.
  • Provide the necessary information for special and emergency orders if a part is not in stock.
  • Maintain records of all special order parts and notify the person responsible for the order. 
  • Maintain a customer back order file.
  • Maintain the special order parts inventory in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Maintain the warranty return parts inventory in a clean and organized manner.
  • Help to “scrap” parts held for factory claims with the factory representative.
  • Participate in conducting a perpetual inventory.
  • Keep your work area clean, free of debris and safe. 
  • Perform other duties and tasks as directed by management.
  • 10 – 5 – First – Last “my pleasure” customer contact process.
