Job description

My Secure Advantage

We exist to equip and empower people to take charge of their financial future.

Job Title: Part-Time Financial Coach (Remote, Germany, Contractor)

Location: Remote - Based in Germany

Hallo, hier ist MSA (My Secure Advantage).

Work with a US-based financial wellness leader on your schedule, from anywhere in Germany. Deliver 30-minute virtual coaching sessions to employees at major global companies — paid in USD, with no sales and no products to push. Just education, and real impact.

About MSA

For 35+ years, MSA has been the national leader in financial well-being. Our clients include T-Mobile, Nissan, Adobe, and more than 70 of the Fortune 100. We assist our members:

  • Pay off debt
  • Improve credit scores
  • Build emergency savings
  • Boost retirement contributions
  • Free up monthly discretionary income

About the Role

As a Part-Time Financial Coach, you'll provide unbiased, one-on-one financial coaching to employees whose employers have made MSA part of their benefits package. Sessions are 30 minutes, fully virtual, and cover budgeting, debt reduction, credit, retirement, investing, insurance, and home buying. You choose the topics you're strongest in and the hours that fit your life.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct 30-minute one-on-one virtual coaching sessions with members
  • Cover a variety of financial topics, including but not limited to budgeting, debt reduction, credit management, retirement planning, investment education, insurance basics, and home buying.
  • Provide unbiased education (MSA sells no financial products, and neither do you in this role)
  • Tailor each session to the member's goals, situation, and starting point
  • Briefly document topics covered after each session
  • Maintain member confidentiality at all times

What You Bring

  • 5-years of experience in financial coaching, financial planning, or personal finance education
  • Familiarity with financial systems in Germany
  • Working knowledge across budgeting, debt management, credit, retirement, investing, insurance, and/or home buying (depth in several is more valuable than shallow across all)
  • The ability to explain financial concepts in plain, understandable language
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) and German
  • Moderate technical proficiency — able to independently use a computer, basic software applications, and a CRM system to document sessions
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional space to conduct sessions
  • Warmth, empathy, and professionalism — you'll be talking to people about money, which is deeply personal

Nice to Have

  • Certification in financial coaching or planning (CFP, CPA, CFA, licensed financial planner/bank wealth manager, or similar)
  • Experience coaching across diverse populations and financial backgrounds

Rate and Terms

  • Contractor role, paid per completed session in USD
  • The average rate for a 30-minute coaching session is $30–$35 USD
  • Payment cadence: monthly
  • Flexible schedule with no weekends — you set your availability
  • Fully remote from anywhere in Germany

How to Apply

Please submit:

  1. A brief cover letter highlighting your financial coaching experience
  2. Your resume or CV
  3. Any relevant certifications

Wir freuen uns auf Ihre Bewerbung. (We look forward to your application!)
