Description
Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking a Software Developer (.NET/SQL Server). Reporting to the Business Applications Supervisor, this role will be responsible for developing and maintaining Q-Lab's web, database, and client/server business applications as well as designing and implementing front-end user interfaces using Microsoft Visual Studio technologies, including WinForms, ASP.NET, VB .NET, and C#, among other duties.
This position is hybrid/onsite in Westlake, OH.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop software that directly supports manufacturing, laboratory testing, engineering, accounting, purchasing, sales, and customer service. Your work will be used every day across the organization and will have a visible impact on business operations.
  • Use modern AI development tools to accelerate software development, improve code quality, and automate implementation where appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain Q-Lab's web, database, and client/server business applications.
  • Design and maintain desktop and web applications using C#, .NET, WinForms, ASP.NET, and other Microsoft technologies.
  • Design, optimize, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and business logic.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define workflows, and translate operational needs into technical solutions.
  • Produce business requirements documents, technical specifications, and software design documentation.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing software applications and database systems.
  • Participate in software architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:
  • 3-5+ years of experience developing software with C# and .NET.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience designing and maintaining business applications.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with WinForms, ASP.NET, or other .NET UI technologies.
  • Experience with DevExpress is a plus.
