As geotechnical engineer, you will perform tasks andprovide services in the field of geotechnical engineering. You will beresponsible for performing geotechnical site investigations and analyses,preparing and reviewing deliverables and reviewing design and construction,within the context of the overall management objectives set for each project.

  • Carry out the technical management and direction of geotechnical site investigations, supervise activities in the context of these investigations, evaluate materials in the laboratory and prepare and review technical reports
  • Review and supervise civil and geotechnical construction activities
  • Conduct field evaluations and assess risks of landslides, perform mapping and produce reports
  • Manage geotechnical instruments: prescribe, supervise installation, monitor and record results
  • Analyze geotechnical characteristics, including slope stability, compacting, seepage, deformation and other characteristics
  • Conduct soil mechanics and classification activities, assess slope stability and design reinforcing and supporting structures
  • Ensure the technical quality of deliverables, as a member of multidisciplinary project teams
  • Collaborate and participate in technical discussions with team members and clients
  • Participate in the process of preparing and presenting proposals
  • Travel to project sites within Canada, and occasionally overseas
