Geospatial Intelligence | Data Integration | Analytics Development

About the Role

Aperio Global is seeking a Junior Software Developer to support advanced geolocation and data integration initiatives within a mission-focused environment. In this role, you will work alongside engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders to develop innovative applications, analytics, and automated workflows that transform complex data into actionable intelligence.

This position offers the opportunity to work with large-scale datasets, build data-driven solutions, and contribute directly to technologies that enhance mission understanding, operational awareness, and decision-making.

What You'll Do
Develop and maintain software applications that support geospatial and intelligence-driven missions
Design and implement analytics that integrate data from multiple cyber, SIGINT, and enterprise sources
Create automated workflows that improve data processing, enrichment, and metadata analysis
Collaborate with mission stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
Support data integration efforts across multiple repositories and collection platforms
Develop tools that enable discovery, correlation, and analysis of complex datasets
Contribute to the deployment, enhancement, and sustainment of mission-support applications
Leverage structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, relationships, and operational insights

Mission Focus

Work across diverse datasets and intelligence sources to build analytics that support geolocation, cyber operations, and data-driven mission outcomes. You will help transform raw data into meaningful intelligence by applying software development, data engineering, and analytic tradecraft.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience developing software using Java and Python
Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software development best practices
Experience working with large-scale data processing technologies, including:
PySpark
Hadoop
MapReduce
ETL frameworks
Pig
Experience working with data formats such as JSON and BSON
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, mission-focused environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Desired Qualifications
Experience with customer corporate tools, repositories, and mission data environments
Familiarity with geospatial data, metadata tagging, or intelligence data workflows
Knowledge of distributed data processing and large-scale analytics architectures
Experience supporting intelligence, cyber, or national security missions
Security Requirements
**Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required**
