Data Scientist We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Data Scientist to join a pioneering team at NGA, focused on advancing automated multi-INT analytic models for GEOINT collection. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research initiatives aimed at transforming current geospatial intelligence methods and increasing operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, test, and refine automated multi-INT analytical models to detect activity of interest and optimize GEOINT collection. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex, ambiguous problems into innovative, data-driven solutions. • Leverage machine learning algorithms and advanced statistical techniques to analyze large-scale intelligence data sets. • Create and maintain data processing workflows utilizing tools like JEMA, ESRI Model Builder, Alteryx, and Tableau Prep. • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies to continuously improve analytic capabilities and support mission needs. • Document findings, develop prototypes, and support the implementation of scalable automated systems for operational use. Qualifications: • Active TS/SCI clearance, with a willingness to undergo a CI polygraph examination. • Bachelor’s degree in a data science, computer science, or related STEM field; candidates with a Master’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience are preferred. • Minimum of two years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics related to intelligence or geospatial data. • Proficiency in Python programming; knowledge of additional languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is a plus. • Familiarity with GEOINT collection processes and NGA/NRO systems is highly desirable. • Experience with activity-based intelligence (ABI), multi-INT data fusion, and applying machine learning algorithms to complex datasets. • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to evolving mission requirements, and an innovative mindset for research-style projects.
