• Spend time with customer teams to understand how they actually work. The teams, the processes, and the politics around their data.
• Be the person customers reach out to with questions about their data and moving to the cloud.
• Identify how each customer's geoscience workflows run, from how data comes in to how it gets interpreted and used.
• Catalog what data they have and how much of it — well headers, directional surveys, logs/LAS, formation tops, interpretation, production, and public/regulatory data.
• Dig into the on-prem customizations that aren't in any feature list (custom fields, scripts, integrations, naming conventions, the tribal knowledge) and figure out what does and doesn't carry over to a cloud database.
