As a Manager within our Customs & Foreign Trade team, you will work with clients across a diverse range of industries and sectors, helping them navigate complex international trade challenges while identifying opportunities to optimise operations, manage risk, generate savings and create value.
You will deliver high-quality consultancy services, combining deep technical expertise with commercial insight and a client-first mindset. You will play a key role in developing client relationships, supporting business growth, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions that differentiate our offering in the market.
No two days are the same. You may find yourself advising multinational manufacturers on customs strategy, supporting retailers with supply chain transformation, helping businesses respond to new trade measures, or contributing to the development of technology-enabled solutions that transform how trade compliance is delivered.
This position is located in Manchester, UK or London UK

Key Responsbilities:

  • Delivering quality customs and foreign trade services to clients across multiple industries and sectors.

  • Managing client engagements from scoping through to delivery.

  • Building trusted relationships with client stakeholders and identifying opportunities to expand services.

  • Supporting the development of innovative, technology-enabled and scalable client solutions.

  • Contributing to thought leadership, market profile, and business development initiatives.

  • Coaching and developing junior team members.

  • Working collaboratively across service lines and international teams to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Helping shape the future direction of a rapidly growing Customs & Foreign Trade practice.

Education and Expereince:

We are looking for ambitious individuals who combine strong technical capability with commercial awareness, curiosity, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in customs and international trade advisory, either within consultancy, industry, government, or a related environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge of customs regulations, compliance, and international trade frameworks, specifically across classification, valuation, origin, reliefs and special procedures.

  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering complex projects.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Commercial awareness and a passion for helping clients solve complex challenges.

  • A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to team growth and culture.

Desirable Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience beyond traditional customs advisory, including one or more of the following areas:

  • Excise duties and related compliance requirements.

  • Environmental and sustainability-related trade regulations, including Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and EU Deforestation Regulations (EUDR).

  • Trade remedies and trade defence measures.

  • Export controls and sanctions.

  • Supply chain and trade transformation programmes.

  • Brokerage and customs filing services.

  • Product development, digital solutions, technology-enabled service delivery, data analytics, AI, or process automation.
