Position Overview:
The Vice President, Product Management & Sourcing is responsible for leading maurices' global sourcing strategy and product execution. This role oversees category sourcing, technical design and quality assurance, product operations, the product lifecycle calendar (PLC), and compliance to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and responsible delivery of high-quality products.
Operating in a complex and evolving global environment, the VP provides strategic leadership across vendor partnerships, cost structures, and operational risk, while partnering closely with Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain, and Finance. This role translates product and business strategy into executable sourcing plans that protect margin, mitigate risk, and support long-term enterprise goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Functions:
Enterprise Sourcing Strategy & Execution
  • Lead and execute an integrated global sourcing strategy aligned with business priorities, financial goals, and customer expectations.
  • Provide senior leadership oversight across apparel and accessories sourcing, ensuring disciplined execution across seasons and product lifecycles.
  • Partner with Merchandising leadership to support category strategies through sourcing decisions related to capacity, cost, lead time, and vendor capabilities.

Vendor & Factory Leadership in a Complex Global Environment
  • Lead and oversee strategic vendor and factory relationships across a highly complex global landscape, including evolving tariffs, geopolitical disruption, and shifting capacity constraints.
  • Ensure proactive risk identification and mitigation related to cost inflation, supply disruption, compliance, and delivery timelines.
  • Balance near-term execution needs with long-term vendor strategy, diversification, and resilience.
  • Drive accountability, transparency, and performance management across the vendor base.
  • Represent maurices as a senior enterprise partner with vendors, navigating negotiations, escalation, and long-range planning.

Product Lifecycle & Operational Excellence
  • Own governance of the Product Lifecycle Calendar (PLC), ensuring alignment across sourcing, merchandising, planning, and supply chain milestones.
  • Oversight of product operations to ensure clarity of ownership, disciplined execution, and effective cross-functional handoffs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase speed, reduce complexity, and improve executional consistency.

Technical Design, Quality & Compliance
  • Oversee Technical Design and Quality Assurance team to ensure consistent standards for fit, construction, safety, and wearability.
  • Ensure compliance with all product safety, testing, regulatory, and ethical sourcing requirements.
  • Champion a prevention-focused quality mindset that reduces risk, rework, and downstream disruption.

Financial & Strategic Impact
  • Support margin objectives through sourcing strategy, vendor negotiations, productivity initiatives, and cost management.
  • Contribute to enterprise planning, long-range strategy, and transformation initiatives impacting sourcing, product operations, and supply chain capabilities.

People & Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop senior leaders and teams with a focus on accountability, inclusion, and performance.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, clarity, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted enterprise partner and advisor across cross-functional leadership teams.

Education/Skills and Experience Requirements:
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Apparel, or related field.
  • 12-15+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, product management, and/or related disciplines within apparel.
  • Senior leadership experience overseeing multiple functions or teams in a complex organization.
  • Deep understanding of global sourcing dynamics, vendor management, quality assurance, and product lifecycle execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity, volatility, and change.

Preferred
  • Advanced degree (MBA or similar).
  • Experience operating in global sourcing environments impacted by tariffs, geopolitical risk, and cost volatility.
  • Proven ability to build resilient vendor strategies while delivering near-term business results.

Pay Range:
Annual Salary: $200,000.00 - $250,000.00
This position is eligible for an annual incentive compensation based on company performance.
