Job description

Job Description Our client is an international mining consultancy with over 30 years of experience, providing trusted technical advice to mining companies, capital providers, law firms, and government agencies. Their services span the full mining lifecycle-from Property of Merit Reports and Mineral Resource Estimates to Feasibility Studies, Due Diligence, SK-1300 Reports, and Environmental and Social Management. Their multidisciplinary team brings deep expertise in geology, mining engineering, metallurgy, mineral economics, and ESG.

They are currently seeking a Lead Geologist, Resource Estimation to join their Toronto-based team and help deliver high-impact technical solutions across global projects. What You'll Do: Lead the preparation, validation, and delivery of mineral resource estimates. Develop and refine geological and geostatistical models using industry-standard software.

Ensure compliance with international reporting standards (e.g., NI 43-101, JORC, SK-1300) Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to support feasibility studies, due diligence reviews, and exploration programs. Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal technical reviews and audits. Provide strategic input on resource classification and reporting best practices

What You'll Bring to the Table: Degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred) 8+ years of experience in mineral resource estimation and geological modeling. Proficiency in modeling software such as Leapfrog, Datamine, Surpac, or similar. Strong understanding of geostatistics and resource classification frameworks.

Familiarity with international reporting codes. Excellent technical writing and communication skills. Experience in consulting or multi-client environments.
