Bachelor's Degree

Computer Science, Geospatial Information Science, Software Engineering, Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Environmental Science, Applied Mathematics, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Data Science, etc.

General comment on degrees: Most contracts allow additional experience (4-5 years) in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 4-5 years experience credit for a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 2 years experience credit for a Master's Degree. We will work with you to find the right fit.

• Design and develop GIS software applications
• Integrate geospatial data into applications
• Develop and optimize spatial data algorithms
• Collaborate with teams to define project requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve GIS application issues
• Ensure GIS software meets performance and scalability requirements

• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
• Strong knowledge of spatial data formats (e.g., Shapefiles, GeoJSON)
• Experience with geospatial libraries and APIs (e.g., GDAL, OGR)
• Familiarity with spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, Spatialite)
• Understanding of mapping technologies and geospatial visualization
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for geospatial analysis

• Experience with cloud‑based GIS platforms
• Familiarity with remote sensing data and analysis
• Knowledge of geospatial data processing techniques (e.g., raster analysis)
• Understanding of geospatial data accuracy and validation
• Proficiency in GIS data modeling and geodatabase design
• Familiarity with GIS mobile applications and development
