Are you a highly motivated senior-level geologist or hydrogeologist seeking challenging projects, career advancement, employee ownership, and a great place to work? Geo-Logic Associates is seeking a qualified and motivated experienced professional to join our Arizona mining water resources and environmental project team. Geo-Logic is a water resources and environmental consulting firm providing comprehensive services in hydrogeologic and groundwater sciences. The firm is comprised of about 400 professionals in 29 offices in the U.S. and Peru. The Arizona operations are comprised of 2 offices (Tucson and Scottsdale) with 40 professionals, including hydrologists and hydrogeologists, environmental scientists, engineers, modelers, geographic information system (GIS) specialists, and field technicians. Our firm is the perfect size for individuals wanting to get involved with all aspects of a project and see them through from design to construction to operation. Why we really want you in this job

  • You have a strong attention to detail and a demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and analytical thinking coupled with task, project, and/or team management.
  • You have a track record of successfully performing and/or managing technical projects at mining sites using established financial and staff management processes.
  • You want to put your BS or MS degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a closely related discipline to work on a range of projects related mining sites and are looking to expand on 12+ (senior-level) years of professional experience.
  • You wish to apply your PG, CPG, and/or CHG license to work on water resources and environmental projects for mining-sector clients across several western states.
  • You have the ability to work with and/or direct a team of hydrogeologists, geologists, engineers, and GIS specialists working on mining projects in multiple states.
  • You are willing to mentor others with less experience and aid in their professional development.
  • You have experience interacting effectively with mining clients to help them achieve project objectives.
  • You are highly effective in your written and verbal communication and are comfortable addressing technical (e.g., other hydrogeologists, engineers), management and the public, as an effective speaker.

More about this opportunity on a day-to-day basis

You will work with a team of talented individuals on a variety of mining projects.

Typical tasks for a senior-level hydrogeologist may include:

  • Serving as Project Manager for mining-focused water planning and development projects, hydrogeologic studies, and/or environmental permitting projects
  • Directing team staff on technical and analytical issues
  • Providing oversight to ensure projects are completed on schedule and budget
  • Assisting with business development and staff mentorship
  • Preparing technical reports and/or reviewing technical reports as part of an internal peer review team
  • Assisting with the preparation of proposals and budgets
  • Working on project teams with professionals who are motivated to provide high-level services to our clients

This position also requires that the potential employee pass a pre-employment drug screen. Potential employees must also undergo a pre-employment physical and must possess and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurer. Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States.
