Job description

Overnight Cultivation & Irrigation Technician
Schedule: 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Rotation: Every other weekend required
Position Summary
The Overnight Cultivation & Irrigation Technician plays a critical role in supporting the
health, maintenance, and productivity of plants, as well as ensuring the proper operation of
irrigation systems. This position combines hands-on plant care with water room
operations, requiring attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work
independently during overnight shifts.
Compensation: $19 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Cultivation Duties
• Assist with all plant work, including pruning, defoliation, low-stress training (canopy
manipulation), and transplanting
• Maintain cleanliness of cultivation rooms and ensure proper sterilization of
equipment and work areas
• Grind, log, and track all plant waste material
• Sterilize rooms post-harvest, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing,
and atomizing (including use of a Genie lift after training)
• Monitor plant health and communicate any concerns related to pests (IPM),
disease, or equipment issues to cultivation leadership
• Routine checks to ensure lighting and electrical systems are fully operational
Irrigation & Water Room Duties
• Conduct routine checks of water room systems multiple times per shift
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of irrigation systems and water room
equipment (e.g., tanks, ozone loops)
• Support irrigation line cleaning in flower rooms
• Perform general maintenance in flower rooms, including irrigation and drainage fixes, tray repairs, and basic PVC/PEX work
• Assist with ongoing projects, upgrades, and facility maintenance tasks
• Monitor irrigation systems thoroughly to ensure proper functionality and repair or
resolve and issues
Weekend Responsibilities
• Work every other weekend as part of a rotating schedule
• Independently complete assigned tasks and standard duties with minimal
supervision
• Promptly communicate any issues or emergencies to the Water Room Manager or
leadership team
Physical & Environmental Requirements
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods (6.5-8 hours per shift)
• Comfortable working in high heat and humidity (approximately 80°F and 70%
humidity)
• Able to work in low-light conditions (green light/dark environments) for extended
periods
• Ability to work at heights using a Genie lift (after proper training)
• Capable of working with arms at or above chest height for extended periods
• Comfortable working with chemicals, respirators, and Tyvek suits as required.
