Job description

Position Objective

GENEX Cooperative is seeking an Occasional Part-Time Relief in Morrison and Benton County MN to provide professional and personalized artificial insemination service and breeding program assistance to members and customers resulting in improved profit potential and satisfaction. In addition, the successful candidate will sell GENEX semen, services, products, and programs to achieve sales goals and develop new business in sales area.

This position is 90% dairy emphasis and 10% beef emphasis.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide artificial insemination (AI) services to members and customers
  • Provide breeding program assistance to members and customers
  • Sell GENEX AI services, semen, products, and programs
  • Provide reproductive management expertise to members that will improve reproductive performance in their herds
  • Consistently make farm visits with prospects to develop and gain new customers

Qualifications

  • Dairy background with breeding experience and heat detection on large farms preferred
  • Aggressive sales and service person who is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid Driver's License 
  • Must possess communication and people skills
  • Computer skills are required; and ability to work with herd management software is a plus
  • Willingness to learn and develop both personally and professionally
