Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Molecular Genetics Technologistย II conducts high-complexity molecular tests in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.ย 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform clinical testing following CAP, NY, and CLIA regulations.ย 
  • Troubleshoot assay performance andย maintainย laboratory equipment.ย 
  • Conduct quality control (QC) checks and report deviations promptly.ย 
  • Manage laboratory stock levels and replenish supplies.ย 
  • Assistย in training new employees asย required.ย 
  • Execute other duties as needed.ย ย 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in scientific discipline or medical technology.
  • 2-4 years of relevantย experienceย OR
  • Masterโ€™s degree with 0-2 years relevant experience

Preferred

  • MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP)
