We are looking for a caring, energetic, and creative Activity Assistant to join our skilled nursing team. If you love working with people, enjoy planning fun and meaningful activities, and want to make a real difference in the lives of older adults, this is the perfect role for you.

As an Activity Assistant, youโ€™ll help create a vibrant, engaging environment where residents can stay active, connected, and fulfilled. Youโ€™ll support the Activity Director in planning and delivering programs that honor each residentโ€™s interests, abilities, and individuality.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Assist in planning and leading daily activity programs such as arts & crafts, games, music, exercise, educational sessions, religious services, and community outings
  • Encourage residents to participate in group and one-on-one activities
  • Help maintain accurate activity documentation (with training)
  • Support the Activity Director with supply ordering, receipts, and monthly activity calendars
  • Maintain resident preference lists, precautions, and activity limitations
  • Help facilitate Resident Council meetings when needed
  • Participate in planning special events involving residents, families, staff, and the community
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Activity certification (preferred)
  • Experience in long-term care (preferred)
  • Experience leading recreational or social programs within the last five years (preferred)
