Job Description Summary
Dauch is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our world-class team. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a leading company in the automotive industry, where you will have the chance to contribute to the flawless execution of our manufacturing processes. This role located at our Bowling Green plant in Bowling Green, OH.
As a Reliability Engineer, you will develop and manage routine maintenance schedules, statutory inspections, and overhaul plans. This role optimizes equipment uptime, minimizes production downtime, and ensures accurate maintenance history records. Working closely with engineering, you will support planning decisions, analyze work returns, and ensure maintenance data is reliable and aligned with operational needs.

Job Description:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance (PM) program for all plant equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Create detailed work orders, including scope of work, required resources (labor, materials, tools), safety procedures, and estimated completion times.
  • Prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks in alignment with production demands and equipment criticality, utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of maintenance activities and minimize impact on manufacturing schedules.
  • Identify and procure necessary parts and materials for planned maintenance, working closely with purchasing and inventory control.
  • Conduct post-maintenance reviews to analyze effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and update PM procedures.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as equipment uptime, mean time between failures (MTBF), and maintenance costs, reporting on trends and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards during maintenance planning and execution.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance technicians as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive or heavy industrial.
  • Proven experience with CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM) is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
