Job Summary

The Engineering Changes Engineer leads the planning, evaluation, and implementation of Engineering Changes (ECNs/ECOs) across U.S. manufacturing sites. This role partners with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to ensure changes are executed efficiently, on time, and with minimal impact to quality, cost, inventory, and customer commitments.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Lead the evaluation, planning, coordination, and implementation of Engineering Changes across U.S. manufacturing sites.
  • Assess the impact of engineering changes on inventory, materials, production schedules, quality, cost, and customer commitments, developing mitigation and implementation plans as needed.
  • Lead cross-functional reviews with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Planning, and Operations teams.
  • Monitor implementation progress, identify risks, dependencies, and conflicts, and drive resolution activities.
  • Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), deviations, and product configuration records within Acuity systems such as Oracle or Windchill.
  • Develop metrics, track implementation performance, generate reports, and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability of change management processes.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Engineering Change Management, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Bill of Materials (BOM) Management knowledge.
  • Project management tools and manufacturing process knowledge.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), product transfers, and end-of-life product transitions.
  • Enterprise Replenishment Process experience in Oracle or similar systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a focused and methodical manner.
  • Relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Continuous improvement orientation.
  • Ability or willingness to learn how to analyze parts, assemblies, and production processes.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: Experience in Engineering Change Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related technical functions; leading cross-functional projects in a manufacturing environment; and implementing Engineering Changes from concept through production release.
Travel Requirements

Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25%.
