Mission

Genesys Works is a national leader in providing pathways to career success for high school students in underserved communities through skills training, meaningful work experiences with corporate partners, and impactful relationships. Currently in nine cities across the country, we are positioning ourselves to be a key player in workforce development for young people.

Purpose of Position

The Regional Director, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for strengthening corporate partnership strategy and execution across Genesys Works’ Central and West regions. This role provides regional sales leadership, direct management and coaching for corporate partnerships staff, and strategic support to Executive Directors as they grow, renew, and deepen employer partnerships.

The Regional Director will help sites build strong pipelines, improve sales and account management practices, and consistently achieve internship seat and earned revenue goals. This role will also support the codification of effective corporate partnership practices across markets, helping local teams strengthen the habits, tools, and relationship management strategies needed to drive partner satisfaction, renewal, and growth.

Regular regional travel is expected to support staff development, market strategy, and business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities
Regional Sales Leadership and Strategy

  • Serve as the regional sales leader for assigned Central and West region markets, partnering with Executive Directors to develop and execute market-specific corporate partnership strategies.

  • Provide strategic oversight of corporate partnership efforts across assigned sites, with a focus on generating paid internship opportunities, strengthening employer relationships, and supporting earned revenue growth.

  • Partner with the Chief Strategic Growth Officer to identify, codify, and scale effective sales, account management, and stakeholder engagement practices across markets.

  • Support Executive Directors and site leaders in preparing for, conducting, and following up on C-level and senior stakeholder meetings.

People Management and Staff Development

  • Directly manage and coach corporate partnerships staff across assigned sites, including Corporate Partnership Managers, Directors of Corporate Engagement, and related sales/account management roles.

  • Build the skills and confidence of site-based sales staff through regular coaching, training, meeting preparation, observation, and feedback.

  • Develop and deliver training in areas such as business development, account management, pipeline management, C-level selling, renewal strategy, partner stewardship, and maximizing the value of existing relationships.

  • Attend selected partner meetings with site staff to support relationship development and provide real-time coaching.

Pipeline, Revenue, and Renewal Management

  • Own regional pipeline management practices, including regular opportunity reviews with site staff and Executive Directors throughout the sales cycle.

  • Support sites in building and maintaining healthy pipelines that align with internship seat targets and earned revenue goals.

  • Monitor corporate partner performance, renewal opportunities, growth potential, and account health to maximize results across assigned markets.

  • Analyze renewal performance, growth opportunities, and key learnings to inform future sales and account management strategies.

Corporate Partner Engagement and Growth

  • Oversee relationships with high-value corporate partners and support strategies to deepen engagement across multiple levels of each partner organization.

  • Present solutions to prospective and existing partners in support of new business development, renewals, and account growth.

  • Leverage sales support resources to strengthen prospect research, market analysis, and targeted outreach to potential corporate partners.

  • Help local teams identify opportunities to expand partner relationships and improve the overall corporate partner experience.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced sales and partnership leader who is energized by building strong teams, strengthening market strategy, and helping mission-driven organizations grow through high-quality corporate partnerships. This person brings the judgment, executive presence, and coaching ability needed to support both local site leaders and frontline sales staff.

The strongest candidates will bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, corporate partnerships, or a related revenue-generating function.

  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing sales or partnership professionals across multiple markets, teams, or business lines.

  • Demonstrated success building pipelines, managing complex sales cycles, securing renewals, and growing strategic accounts.

  • Strong ability to sell, influence, and build credibility with senior executives and C-level stakeholders.

  • Experience developing sales practices, training teams, and creating consistent tools, rhythms, and expectations that improve performance.

  • A strategic and analytical approach to pipeline health, revenue forecasting, partner engagement, renewal strategy, and account growth.

  • A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to partner effectively with Executive Directors, national leaders, site teams, and external stakeholders.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills, with a customer-service mindset and strong sense of accountability.

  • A commitment to equity, inclusion, and working effectively with diverse communities, students, staff, and corporate partners.

  • Experience in workforce development, staffing, consulting, nonprofit revenue generation, or corporate partnership environments is strongly preferred.

Commitment to Diversity

Genesys Works is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an equitable, inclusive, and respectful environment where all employees feel valued and empowered. Genesys Works will not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind. We believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion among our staff and corporate partners are essential to successfully executing our organizational mission. As such, we seek to recruit, support, develop, and retain high caliber talent from a diverse candidate pool that both complements and reflects the students we proudly serve.
