Schedule:

  • Day Split Shift: 07-1930 and 09-2130

  • 36 hours per week, 3 (12 hr) shifts

  • Every 3rd weekend

  • Holiday rotation

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs Rapid and Comprehensive Assessments

  • Develops and Implements Emergency Care Plans.

  • Delivers Timely and Effective Interventions

  • Prepares patients for diagnostic testing, procedures, or transfer to higher levels of care

  • Evaluates Patient Responses and Adjusts Care

  • Facilitates Communication and Coordination

  • Demonstrates Clinical Competence in Emergency Nursing

  • Manages Multiple Patients and Prioritizes Care

  • Provides Age-Appropriate and Culturally Sensitive Care

  • Ensures Safety and Compliance

  • Maintains Professional Standards and Regulatory Compliance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in nursing required.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

  • Current Iowa RN license, IL RN license within one year required.

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities.

  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter - Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire

  • High language, intermediate to high math, high critical thinking ability

  • Basic computer skills required
