Manager, Genesis Warranty Operations

This position's main focus is on the Genesis brand, with some assignments including the Hyundai brand due to operational synergy. Work closely with National and Regional Management to develop, review, and publish documentation that supports business objectives and ensures timely, accurate release of all Warranty publications, including Policies & Procedures, Warranty Manual, Warranty Coverage Guides, and Owners' Handbooks. Coordinate closely with the Genesis Group on warranty, campaign, and field activities. Maintain extensive interaction with GHQ personnel and Warranty teams regarding policy matters, system edits, and procedures. Manage all Warranty System–related projects with Hyundai AutoEver America (HAEA) and coordinate cross-department system initiatives to ensure the AS400, WebDCS, and Global Warranty System align with Warranty Policies and Procedures. Recommend and implement policy and procedure changes based on the current Warranty environment. Analyze critical data to provide recommendations that mitigate revenue loss. Manage system updates, modifications, and new program implementations driven by policy changes, new technologies, and new model or equipment launches. Research and resolve system claim errors in collaboration with HAEA personnel. Manage Warranty at Retail programs, including communication with Regions and Retailers and oversight of Labor and Parts requests to ensure legal compliance with state regulations.

Act as the primary Warranty Policy subject matter expert with strong knowledge of industry warranty practices and key differences among Tier One OEM competitors. Conduct regular warranty benchmarking with mass-market and premium OEM brands. Maintain ongoing collaboration with Warranty, GHQ, Service, Parts, Marketing, and Sales on new programs, claims analysis, procedures, policies, and review of manuals and publications. Provide national, regional, dealer, fleet, HMMA, port, and CA support for warranty claim submission, system changes, project management, and policy inquiries. Coordinate and manage policy-related requests, including time allowances, quality concerns, and issues impacting daily operations. Oversee all Warranty System functions (AS400 and WebDCS), including creation and modification of system edits, functionality, and policy alignment. Partner with Campaign, Billing, Expense Management, and HAEA to implement system enhancements across all warranty platforms. Manage updates related to Date of First Use, branding changes, and Original Owner requests. Oversee Warranty Department Administration, including budgets and records, and apply expert judgment on repair coverage and system enhancements.

Must be a high school graduate. Bachelor's degree preferred. Master's degree a plus. Eight years' experience in automotive related environment, preferably with Warranty background. Strong organizational skills required. Strong analytical background, with some Financial Background. Strong Computer Capability including Excel, Word, QMF Capability Preferred, AS400 experience, etc.

Compensation Range: $86,800 - $124,000 annual base salary Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance) Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.
