As a Generator Technician you will:
  • Have a strong knowledge of generators, engines, and motors as it relates to repair and service.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
  • 2+ years of generator technician experience preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
  • Proficient with standard industry tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess your OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Experience with Kohler Site Tech and Cummins INPOWER is a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
  • Capability to think critically and perform problem solving.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain engines used in electric generators
  • Diagnose trouble, disassemble engines, and examine parts for defects and excessive wear.
  • Perform load banking and repair of standby power generators.
  • Maintain proper inventory of generator parts in service vehicle.
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Communicates sales opportunities to sales team.
  • Repairs and maintains portable generators on RV's and other specialty vehicles.
  • Ensures that customer challenges and problems are addressed promptly and to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Utilize tablet for instruction of scheduling changes that may result from emergency calls received throughout the day.
  • Respond to 24-hour emergency calls to repair remote generator systems as needed.
  • Maintain assigned company vehicle adhering to the company's maintenance and repair policy
