Generator Technician – Critical Infrastructure

L&A Utility Solutions Inc. is actively hiring a skilled Generator Technician who knows their craft and takes pride in keeping critical infrastructure online. If you can diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial/industrial generators independently, we want to talk to you.
You will be working on telecom facilities, utilities, and other essential operations throughout the Philadelphia region. This is not light residential work — this is mission-critical equipment where performance matters.
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial standby generators
  • Diagnose and repair diesel and natural gas generator systems
  • Troubleshoot ATS, controls, batteries, fuel systems, and electrical components
  • Perform load bank testing
  • Respond to service calls and emergency outages when needed
  • Maintain professional documentation and customer communication
What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience working on commercial/industrial generators
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Self-starter who can work independently in the field
  • Clean driver’s license
  • Willingness to respond to emergency service calls when required
Manufacturer certifications (Cummins, Generac Industrial, Kohler, CAT, etc.) are a strong plus.
