Job description

The Power Sales Manager, for Generators is responsible for selling HIPOWER solutions in New Mexico to assigned end user accounts, electrical contractors, general contractors, and property managers. It includes being responsible for budgeting, configuring, quoting, negotiating, and closing projects. This position is supported with internal engineering and administrative support.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

  • Create and develop sales opportunities for power generating solutions. This includes making presentations, preparing quotations and submitting proposals as necessary to end-users, consulting engineers and contractors.
  • Develop relationships with assigned accounts to ensure they are familiar with our product and service offerings.
  • Be knowledgeable on all generator products, applications, installation, maintenance & service.
  • Read, comprehend, and interpret engineering design drawings, bid specifications, contract documents and submittal packages.
  • Visit customer sites to evaluate application needs and sales opportunities.
  • Design and deliver persuasive technical presentations on power generation products and services to achieve company sales goals.
  • Identify and target prospective customers that will generate future sales and repeat business.
  • Engage and collaborate with Power Systems Sales Managers within DVL to nurture and develop projects and create strategic advantages that favor DVL.
  • Quote all significant contractors on bid projects. Diligently follow up on all quoted jobs to determine the winning contractor and attempt to close this business.
  • Develop and prepare testing, commissioning, training, and as-built documents as required.
  • Work collaboratively with DVL Services to ensure customer satisfaction during all facets of a project.
  • Maintain product training requirements and technical knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide management with sales forecasts and project details by maintaining current information in DVL’s CRM system.
  • Engage in professional organizations in the local market to represent DVL and our product and service capabilities.
  • Attend manufacturing training classes to become and maintain proficiency with their products and services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY

  • High school diploma required. Engineering or technical degree preferred.
  • Five years of recent and relevant sales experience selling power generating solutions.
  • Experience selling power generation and power control systems in New Mexico is preferred
  • Knowledge of industry CAD drawings to create and or modify electrical single lines, schematics, elevations, floor plans, various control systems, etc. is a plus
  • Basic familiarity and understanding of electrical generation, distribution, & control systems.
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Code.
  • Some understanding of NFPA 70E & OSHA electrical safety regulations.
  • High level of Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • A general understanding of the Construction Design-Bid Build & Design-Build processes.
  • Valid Driver’s License required to go to customer sites.

The salary draw pay range is $75,000- $125,000/year plus car allowance and unlimited commission potential based on relevant generator sales experience
