Job description

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Rocky Hill, CT. 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Completing repair activities on generators or components 
  • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
  • Maintain detailed records of service
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
  • Maintain own tools

Three plus years Power Generator experience.
Associates degree or trade school recommended but not required.

-A current valid license is required for this role
-This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
-This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
-3 years driving experience
-This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
-Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
  • High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
  • Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision - hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
  • Basic Diesel Engine experience.
  • Proficient troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
  • Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and able to perform commissioning on a new ATS installation.

Salary rate commensurate with experience. Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products
High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience
