Key Responsibilities 

Lead Generation & Qualification 

  • Create and execute effective sales strategies to generate and qualify leads (via marketing, referrals, cold calling, networking) 
  • Respond to all Generac PowerPlay leads or referrals within 24 hours 
  • Provide immediate phone outreach to fresh leads 

Site Visits & Sales Presentations 

  • Schedule and lead residential site visits 
  • Prepare for visits with knowledge of zoning, inspection standards, and installation expectations 
  • Deliver clear quotes and explain the end-to-end installation process 

Product Knowledge & Field Engagement 

  • Continuously educate yourself on Generac, Briggs & Stratton, and Kohler products—attend field installations and service calls to stay current 

Customer Relations & Contract Closure 

  • Build and nurture relationships with prospects and customers to boost satisfaction and revenue 
  • Follow best-in-class sales practices and maintain a high conversion rate 

Sales Operations & Tracking 

  • Manage daily and weekly sales schedules 
  • Follow up on quotes, update work-order tracking with customer notes, priorities, and outcomes 
  • Personally create and monitor your work orders in the system 

Collaboration & Marketing Support 

  • Communicate regularly with internal teams and subcontractors 
  • Work closely with the Operations and Install teams to identify job improvements 
  • Support marketing efforts: develop materials, attend/present at planned events, and contribute to campaign planning 

Market Intelligence 

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and new products 
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and community functions to generate new business 

Additional Responsibilities 

On-Site Oversight 

  • Be present during installation to introduce the team (“G.O.D.” team) and provide exceptional customer care 
  • Troubleshoot and escalate sales challenges; propose solutions to enhance closing rates 

Pricing & Incentives 

  • Collaborate with leadership to secure approval for discounts on large deals 
  • Communicate warranty options and Generac incentives to customers 

Re-Engagement 

  • Follow up on previous leads that didn’t result in service agreements 

Training Content Development 

  • Create installation-day instructional videos (“G.O.D. Bible”) for customers 
  • Update and refine existing documentation and training resources 
  • Build and implement sales training frameworks and processes 

Daily Reporting & Debriefing 

  • Participate in daily debriefs—report new customer wins and progress via calls or logs
