Job description

Implementation Manager

Implementation Managers (IM) provide an in-the-field presence for projects and outages. The IM will ensure the project construction phase meets and/or exceeds the project objectives of safety, regulatory compliance, scope, quality, schedule, cost, configuration management, and integration. They observe, coach, and correct Infotrees contracted workers on safe work practices and standards such as Health and Safety, Environmental, and Keys to Life. The IM must perform frequent field observations and walk-downs to ensure project construction success and then document them in an observation reporting tool. The IM will participate in daily pre-job and post-shift briefs with the contractor. The IM will ensure the contractor is providing a quality product and that the product is built to specifications and drawings. Monitor contractor productivity and communicate progress to the project lead. The IM acts as a primary site contact for the contractor and coordinates laydown and facilities use with the station. The IM must be capable of communicating, coordinating, and leading various work groups, especially contractors, to achieve project objectives. The implementation manager maintains a constant field presence ensuring adherence to specifications, policies, and procedures. The role of an IM is to conduct watchful, observational management of contractor activities occurring in the field. 90% of an IMs shift should be fieldwork. The balance of time is in an office setting performing duties that help to support the project's success, including submitting a daily project status report, and safety observation reports.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of construction experience in a power plant (management, oversite, or craft).
  • Experience reading construction specifications and drawings.
  • Experience updating red line/as-built drawings.
  • Working knowledge of overall operating fundamentals and principles of generating station systems, equipment, and processes.
  • Working knowledge of coatings and rigging and lifting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of stringent environmental requirements.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Infotree-style safety culture.

Working Conditions:

  • Most of the work will be on an active construction site.
  • This project involves oversight of a large-scale coatings (cleaning and painting) project that will involve working at heights and in a remote area with limited cellular and computer service.
  • The work schedule is a 12-hour night shift (7p-7a), 4-5 nights per week including weekend work as required.
  • The project site includes exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and humidity.
  • They May be required to climb ladders, stairs, and work platforms at various heights; enter vessels or equipment with limited access; walk, stoop, bend, or squat.
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, inspect, calculate, count, retain and make sound decisions.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, use, and reach with hands, arms, and fingers.
  • There is potential exposure to high-stress situations and the requirement to be available for emergency response as required by the needs of service.
