Job description

General Warehouse Associate

DiVal Safety Equipment, a leader in the industrial safety, Fire, and EMS distribution business, is looking for a full time General Warehouse Associate with a "whatever it takes" attitude. The main responsibilities of this position are to pick/pack orders and deliver to our customers in an accurate and efficient manner with safety being a priority.

Candidates Must Possess:

  • Strong productive work ethic and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and develop personally and professionally.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Live by the Values of DiVal Safety: Be Safe, Be Accountable, Be Credible, Be Positive, Be Smart and Be Committed.
  • Always focus on safety – safety training and direction must be always adhered to.
  • Various warehouse activity, including but not limited to - picking, packing, shipping orders, receiving inventory, and putting stock away.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary daily paperwork in a timely manner as required.
  • Complete cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
  • Report any existing or potential safety concerns to management.
  • Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisors in alignment with other members of the management team.
  • Perform additional duties that may arise and assigned by management.
Skills and Requirements:
  • Ability to pass a NON-D.O.T. physical with drug screen. Potential for DOT certification in the future.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
  • Experienced with warehouse equipment including forklifts, electric pallet trucks, elevated work platforms, and manual pallet jacks. (Preferred)
  • Experience with handheld equipment, like RF scanners, palm devices, and/or tablets. (Preferred)
  • Basic computer skills a must, AS400 experience a plus.
  • High school diploma / GED equivalent.
