Overview:
St. Mary's Healthcare is actively seeking a General Surgeon to join our expanding surgical team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice a broad scope of general surgery in a collaborative, community-focused environment with strong institutional support and a growing referral network. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality surgical care across a range of procedures while working closely with primary care providers, specialists, and hospital staff to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.

Position Highlights:

Responsibilities:
  • Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques when appropriate
  • Evaluate and manage patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and hospital staff to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Participate in call coverage as part of the general surgery team
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-surgical care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advancements in surgical practice
Qualifications:
Required Credentials - Board Certified / Board Eligible in General Surgery. Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York
Education - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution
Skills - Strong surgical expertise, sound clinical judgment, and excellent patient-centered communication
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary - $475K - $600K (commensurate with experience)
