Health Sciences Store Buying Office Assistant
Job Number: 160
Salary: $18.50
Department: Health Science Store - Dental Department
Days/Hours:
12-15 hrs/wk; Mon-Fri 8am-6pm. Occasional weekend shifts to support larger department operations.
Duties:
Team player, hardworking, dedicated, and enthusiastic -ready and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment! Generate quotes for customers and/or UCLA departments. Process & track purchase orders by phone, email, online, and ensures on time delivery from suppliers. Maintains accurate product information including accurate pricing, supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, contact information, etc. Answer customer service questions about order status, tracking, or inventory on hand. Monitor deliveries and work with vendors to resolve issues/claims. Maintain stock organization and stock merchandise on the sales floor. Product knowledge and training will be provided.
Duties will include delivering products throughout the UCLA campus.
Provide general operational support to other store departments. Assist with miscellaneous tasks/projects.
Requirements:
Self-starter with strong communication, computer, phone and analytical skills. Able to complete projects with attention to detail and degree of accuracy in an organized fashion. Must be able to do work that requires frequent bending, lifting, pushing, walking, and standing.
Able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week including FINALS week and Break week.
Winter, Spring and Summer break availability highly desired.
