Job Title: General Production - 3rd shift - 20.75hr

Job Description

This General Production role supports a metal stamping manufacturing operation by performing a variety of hands-on tasks that keep production running smoothly. You will work with a small, close-knit crew to handle general labor activities, operate around presses, benders, and shears, and ensure finished products meet quality standards before shipment. This position is contract-to-hire over approximately four months and is fully on-site in Archbold, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing and metal stamping environment.
  • Work in close proximity to presses, benders, shears, and other production equipment while following safety procedures.
  • Stack finished and raw products to feed equipment and maintain an organized production area.
  • Prepare finished goods for shipment, including stacking, packaging, and staging for transport.
  • Inspect final parts for defects and ensure products meet quality standards before they leave the facility.
  • Use basic math skills, such as adding and subtracting, to support production and quality tasks.
  • Lift, push, and pull materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds as part of daily duties.
  • Follow production schedules and instructions to meet output and quality goals.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Demonstrate consistent attendance and reliability, which is critical in a small-crew environment.

Work Environment

Available schedules include multiple first-shift options (such as 5:00 AM–3:00 PM Monday–Thursday and 7:00 AM–3:00 PM) and third shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM), with a four-day workweek structure for some roles. The facility requires steel toe footwear at all times, and proper work attire includes short sleeve shirts (no bare shoulders), no shorts or capris, and full coverage of legs and ankles. You will work around presses, benders, shears, and other metal stamping equipment in a production setting that emphasizes safety, reliability, and steady output. Off-shift roles receive an additional shift differential.
