S​UMMARY: 

Isolatek International is launching a new manufacturing operation focused on the production of FireSolve® fire-protective coating products. Production Operators will play a critical role in establishing safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations from day one.

The Production Operator is responsible for safely supporting the manufacture of FireSolve® fire-protective coating products by preparing materials, adding raw materials to production batches, operating production and filling equipment, performing material handling activities, completing required production documentation, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

This position is primarily focused on batch manufacturing activities associated with the production of water-based fire-protective coatings, with additional responsibility for filling operations, forklift operation, equipment cleaning, and general production housekeeping. The Production Operator must follow established batch records, equipment instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety requirements to ensure products are manufactured safely, accurately, and in accordance with company standards.




RESP​ONSIBILITIES

  • Follow batch records, manufacturing instructions, equipment logs, and standard operating procedures to safely produce products. 
  • Accurately weigh, verify, stage, and add raw materials to production batches. 
  • Support batch manufacturing activities, including material preparation, batch additions, equipment monitoring, and process documentation. 
  • Operate production equipment, including mixers, tanks, pumps, agitators, scales, filling equipment, label printers, drum handling equipment, forklifts, and hand tools. 
  • Operate filling equipment to package finished product according to production requirements and quality standards. 
  • Perform basic equipment setup, operation, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting. 
  • Report equipment issues, material concerns, process deviations, quality concerns, or unsafe conditions to the Shift Leader. 
  • Safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. 
  • Stage materials for production batches and filling operations. 
  • Maintain accurate batch records and equipment logs. 
  • Support inventory accuracy through proper material identification, movement, and organization. 
  • Clean production equipment, work areas, tools, and surrounding production spaces. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment in accordance with housekeeping and 5S expectations. 
  • Follow all company safety procedures, including requirements related to Hazard Communication, Chemical Handling, Forklift Safety, Lockout/Tagout, Respiratory Protection, Spill Response, and Housekeeping. 
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment, including respirators when required. 
  • Participate in required safety training and follow all plant rules and procedures. 
  • Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

SCOPE OF POSITION:

  • The Production Operator supports the safe and reliable operation of the manufacturing process. The position is hands-on and requires the employee to work directly with raw materials, batch production equipment, filling equipment, forklifts, and cleaning activities.
  • The role is expected to spend the majority of time supporting batch production activities, with additional support for filling, packaging, material handling, and housekeeping. The position requires attention to detail, safe work practices, accurate documentation, and the ability to follow written procedures in a manufacturing environment.


  • The Production Operator will be required to handle materials weighing up to 55 pounds repeatedly for periods of approximately 2 to 3 hours during the shift. The position also requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing stairs or platforms, operating equipment, and wearing required PPE, including respirators for extended periods when required.


  • Forklift operation is part of the role and is expected to account for approximately 10 percent to 25 percent of work activity. Forklift certification is not required at the time of hire, but the employee must obtain forklift certification within 90 days of employment.


MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-4 years of experience manufacturing experience
  • 1-4 years of experience with fork lift experience (certification not required)


KNOWLEDGE:

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment. 
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow batch records work instructions, and standard operating procedures. 
  • Ability to safely handle raw materials and operate production equipment.


SKILLS:

  • Ability to perform basic math related to weighing, measuring, batch additions, and documentation. 
  • Ability to safely operate or become certified to operate a forklift within 90 days of hire. 
  • Ability to work safely around chemicals, production equipment, forklifts, and industrial processes. 
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly for extended periods during the shift. 
  • Ability to climb stairs, platforms, or access equipment areas as needed. 
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators for extended periods when required. 



The base is $23.00 per hour represents $47,840.00 for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, actual compensation may vary and will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to, the applicant’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors. Isolatek reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on company and personal performance.
