Job description

About Hilton Mechanical

Hilton Mechanical Contractors is a specialty contractor built on precision fabrication and high-quality mechanical systems. We have recently earned our AISC Certification, and we are ready to grow our structural steel division — both shop fabrication and field erection. We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager with proven experience in the structural steel industry to open doors, build relationships, and fill our pipeline with structural steel work. The ideal candidate brings an established network of industry contacts and a deep understanding of the structural steel market, including fabrication processes, erection workflows, and the competitive landscape.

Requirements

You will be the face of our structural steel capabilities — identifying opportunities, developing GC and owner relationships, and converting them into awarded contracts. This is not a passive account management role. We need someone who can hunt.

  • Identify and pursue structural fabrication and erection opportunities across commercial, industrial, and mission-critical markets
  • Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, construction managers, owners, and developers
  • Represent Hilton Mechanical's AISC-certified fabrication capabilities and field erection services
  • Work closely with our estimating team to ensure competitive, responsive proposals
  • Track project leads from pre-construction through award using CRM tools
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade associations, and networking functions

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record in business development or sales within structural steel fabrication, erection, or closely related construction markets
  • Existing relationships with GCs, CMs, and owners in the Southeast — Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas preferred
  • Understanding of the structural steel supply chain, from shop drawings and detailing through erection and final inspection
  • Familiarity with AISC standards and what certification means to owners and specifiers is a strong plus
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a pipeline independently
  • Strong communicator — written, verbal, and in front of clients

Why Hilton Mechanical

  • Newly AISC Certified — a credential that opens doors to public, institutional, and high-specification commercial projects
  • Established shop fabrication infrastructure with skilled welders and experienced project teams
  • Company leadership that is actively investing in structural steel as a core growth market
  • Competitive compensation structure with base salary and performance-based incentives

Benefits

  • Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Paid holidays and PTO
  • 401(k)
  • Steady work with a growing company
