Job description

JPC Partners is looking for Program Managers / Project Managers that will be responsible for managing all aspects of their assigned enterprise technology projects, ensuring successful delivery from planning through execution. These responsibilities include planning and managing internal resources, negotiating subcontractor agreements, managing customer expectations, administering projects end-to-end, ensuring adherence to the process-oriented project methodology and delivering projects within budget and schedule. The PMs will also be responsible for managing project P&L and schedules while ensuring that all customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overall project success, including project planning and execution, adherence to timelines, P&L management, resource planning, internal and external communications, and customer satisfaction. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood, properly planned, and effectively executed.
  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to define and maintain a detailed project plan.
  • Identify, plan, and secure the internal and external resources required to meet project objectives, working closely with functional teams.
  • Negotiate subcontractor agreements with third-party vendors for services and/or materials, and initiate related purchase requests
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to senior management on project status, including timelines, milestones, risks, and customer feedback.
  • Ensure that all technical, schedule, and materials cost-related issues are addressed proactively and resolved in a manner acceptable to the customer.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to keep customers and internal teams aligned on project status, risks, and any challenges that may impact deliverables or milestones.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project plans, schedules, and milestone tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
  • Ability to lead technical discussions across all components of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
  • Proficiency in transit technologies preferred; must be able to identify potential technical issues across system components and provide meaningful, actionable input.
  • Experience managing and implementing transit enterprise systems, including hardware and software, is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also contributing effectively as a team player.
  • Strong organizational skills, a methodical approach, and a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, including occasional trips lasting a week or longer while working directly with customers.
  • Ability to plan and execute projects in alignment with company-approved processes, proactively addressing issues to prevent negative impacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to make difficult decisions when necessary and confidently support those decisions.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of related work experience with at least 5 years as a Program/Project Manager
  • PMP preferred or plans to achieve PMP certification.
