To thrive as a General Manager Partner, you need strong leadership abilities, strategic business acumen, and a proven track record in operations management, often supported by a bachelor's or master's degree in business or a related field. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, financial management software, and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking tools is typically required. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills set outstanding candidates apart. These competencies are crucial for driving business growth, managing teams effectively, and ensuring organizational success.

Effective delegation, strong communication, and setting clear priorities are essential to manage both aspects successfully. Collaboration with other leaders and department heads also plays a key role in maintaining alignment and operational efficiency.

This role combines the responsibilities of a general manager—such as managing teams, budgets, and business growth—with the fiduciary and decision-making duties of a partner. General Manager Partners are commonly found in law firms, consulting firms, investment groups, and businesses with partnership structures. Their leadership helps drive company performance, profitability, and long-term success.

Job description

Manager, Partner Strategy and Operations

THE MISSION

We are hiring a Manager, Partner Strategy & Operations who will provide the strategic and operations leadership to expand our partner program. As the Manager, Partner Strategy & Operations, you'll work closely with each of the business stakeholders who lead our key partner channels and manage the programs that will support their overall recruitment and revenue targets. You'll report to our VP, Partnerships.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a strategic partner builder who drives pipeline and revenue through smart programs and scalable processes. A cross-functional connector and data-driven storyteller, you align teams around insights that fuel growth. You're also an engagement leader who creates experienced partners' value, and a deal and dollars champion who keeps budgets sharp, and contracts smooth.

WHAT YOU'll DO

  • Align Partner Programs to Revenue and Pipeline Goals:
    • Develop and execute partner programs that drive measurable revenue for both partners and Hyperproof. Streamline dashboards and reporting to enable regular, data-driven business reviews on SQO and revenue performance. Share best practices and successful strategies across the team.
  • Design and Optimize Partner Processes:
    • Build and refine scalable workflows, onboarding experiences, launch templates, and briefing materials to ensure smooth, efficient partner engagements.
  • Program & Partner Onboarding:
    • Lead onboarding and kickoff for new partners, ensuring they understand product capabilities and the impact on their business and customers. Maintain and communicate updates to partnership offerings for alignment and enablement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations teams to turn insights into action and support strategic execution.
  • Data & Reporting:
    • Own partnership reporting, dashboards, and analytics. Ensure SQO and deal tracking accuracy, and collaborate with RevOps and Finance to align goals and compensation.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Work closely with the VP of Partnerships to identify process improvement opportunities, analyze performance data, and develop strategies to increase partner engagement and deal flow.
  • Partner Programs & Enablement:
    • Create, execute, and continuously improve partner programs, including incentive structures (e.g., SPIFFs), communications, and training materials.
  • Event & Sponsorship Management:
    • Manage all aspects of partner events, including PartnerConnect and sponsorships at HyperConnect. Oversee logistics, contracting, materials, and execution of quarterly partner calls. Tailor event strategies by partner type, encouraging intentional engagement (e.g., leveraging events more effectively with audit partners, Accenture, etc.) and building structure for greater impact.
  • Communications:
    • Lead the creation and delivery of the monthly partner newsletter and other key communications.
  • Budget & Expense Management:
    • Manage partnership budgets, including events, travel, and other expenses, ensuring adherence to approvals and accurate forecasting.
  • Contracting & Agreements:
    • Maintain and evolve partner agreements and contracting workflows to support growth and compliance.

HOW YOU'LL KNOW YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL

  • Partner programs drive pipeline, SQOs, and revenue.
  • Processes and onboarding are fast, scalable, and error-free.
  • Partners are enabled and sourcing deals quickly.
  • Teams use your insights to act and execute.
  • Dashboards are accurate, timely, and trusted.
  • Engagement and partner-sourced pipeline grow steadily.
  • Events run smoothly with clear ROI.
  • Communications are clear and valued.
  • Budgets are accurate and controlled.
  • Contracts close quickly and stay updated.
  • The Channel execs meet or exceed their quarterly quotas.
  • You get shout-outs from the VP, Partnerships to the entire company when the Partnerships Team meets its goals.
  • You will be excited to come to work in the morning.
  • You will shut off at the end of the day with a sense of satisfaction.
