Job description


The Manager, Partner Interoperability owns partner relationships between Quest and our external interoperability vendors such as (EHR/EMR) vendors, LIS vendors, and Health Information Exchanges (HIEs). Our VAMs work with our partners to influence, define, and execute strategies enabling better integrations and client experiences that accelerate adoption, increase quality, enhance value, manage cost, creating opportunity for client, partner, and Quest growth.

*Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, location, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.
Pay Range: $100,250 - $130,000 / year

Responsibilities
  • Create strategic plan for the interoperability vendor they manage to increase quality, improve customer experience, manage utilization and increase revenues and profits; and help establish strategic alignment across managed vendors.
  • Create and prioritize per-vendor specialized requirements for external Interoperability Vendor teams (e.g. eClinicalWorks) to address evolving Quest Diagnostics and industry business requirements.
  • Influence external interoperability vendors to develop and implement solutions to improve Quest business operations (e.g. Failed Orders, Advanced Beneficiary Notice)
  • Facilitate communication with vendors to enhance/adopt functionality that enables mutual growth and better integration experiences
  • Work closely with the business and vendors to identify opportunities to optimize operating costs and apply new technologies that support the business strategy
  • Facilitate onboarding new Interoperability Vendor onboarding, from initial contact through agreements and contracts, operational and security assessment, to certification of minimum required functionality.
  • Support periodic re-assessment of Interoperability Vendor agreements and overall operational, security, and functional capabilities.
  • Participate in internal forums and meet with internal partners to exchange information, ideas, issues, and concerns regarding managed interoperability vendors
  • Provide business metrics for the interoperability vendor, identify gaps, and engage vendor teams to ensure business objectives are met (e.g. Vendor Fact Sheets, % of Advanced Beneficiary Notice Failure rate)
  • Collaborate with commercial team (e.g. Connectivity Account Managers) to ensure proper technical and integration information on our external interoperability vendor is being communicated to our customers
  • Escalation point for EHR Implementations within their vendor portfolio; and general escalation point for all EHRs both integrated and prospective for Quest.
  • Provide appropriate support for escalated vendor driven issues, and/or delegate to appropriate team members.
  • Present interface capabilities and limitations to current and prospective vendors as needed including onsite visits
  • Present on overal interoperability Vendor Posture to Quest Technology management

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Healthcare Experience
  • 3+ years of Healthcare Interoperability Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Business, or Information Systems or equivalent job experiences.
  • Travel up to 10%

Work requires handling light and simple weight material and equipment. Visual activity requires the ability to tolerate prolonged periods of close computer screens. Work requires speed, accuracy and adeptness to operate in system application. Fast-paced work environment. After hours, weekend and holiday work will occasionally be required as determined by the Application Mgr to support software/hardware patches, upgrades, downtimes and potential disasters.
