Accounting Manager – Manufacturing

Buford, GA | $80,000–$110,000

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established $25 million custom fabrication and manufacturing company seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its day-to-day accounting function. This is a hands-on opportunity for a manufacturing accounting professional who enjoys partnering with operations, improving processes, and contributing to the long-term success of the business. The company is actively engaged in succession planning and is looking for someone who wants to grow with the organization.

Position Overview

This is not a traditional corporate accounting role. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting, managerial accounting, inventory, job costing, and work-in-process (WIP). Experience supporting a custom fabrication or discrete manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and month-end close.

  • Manage manufacturing accounting activities, including inventory, job costing, cost analysis, and financial reporting while partnering with operations to improve profitability and business performance.

  • Develop and improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 10+ years of accounting experience with a strong manufacturing background.

  • Extensive experience in cost accounting and managerial accounting.

  • Experience with Epicor ERP is strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on leadership style with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
