Job description

Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is excited to welcome an Administrator-in-Training to learn from our seasoned Licensed Nursing Home Administrator!

Under the supervision of our administrator, you will learn the day-to-day operations of running a skilled nursing facility while better understanding the departments and personnel that make up the team.

Plymouth Rehab is a 152-bed skilled nursing facility offering short-term care and long-term rehab located at 123 South Street in Plymouth.

Salaried role up to $60,000 with weekly pay.

During your AIT internship, you will be able to:

  • Assist with managing day-to-day operations.

  • Immerse yourself in the laws and regulations on a federal and state level.

  • Understand how to build bonds and trust with residents and their loved ones.

  • Communicate with team members to understand their role and how it impacts the facility.

  • Fulfill your required hours to sit for your exam.

Our team will assist in the state application process including the written request form for the proposed AIT internship, a letter from the proposed preceptor, the detailed outcome of the proposed AIT internship, and the signed agreement between preceptor and candidate.

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in appropriate education to meet the state requirement for the program such as healthcare or business administration.

  • Prior experience working in skilled nursing or another healthcare setting is preferred.

Specific Requirements

  • The ability to read, write, understand, and speak the English language.

  • Must possess strong leadership and supervisory skills as well as the ability to make decisions independently.

  • Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, staff, government agencies, and the general public.

  • Must be willing to accommodate the schedule of the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
