Position Summary

The General Manager is responsible for providing overall leadership to Len The Plumber to achieve revenue, profitability, and KPI objectives while creating a customer-centric and solutions-oriented culture. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, employee development, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance across multiple business units.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong P&L experience, operational expertise within the trades industry, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Maintain full P&L accountability for all operations.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans across HVAC, Plumbing, Sewer, and Electrical operations
  • Achieve revenue, profitability, and KPI goals through operational excellence and performance management
  • Drive productivity, service performance, sales effectiveness, and customer satisfaction initiatives
  • Effectively partner and collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, HR, recruiting, marketing, dispatch, fleet, warehouse, and training teams
  • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-performing leaders and field teams
  • Build and maintain a performance-driven culture focused on accountability and growth
  • Ensure teams consistently deliver an excellent customer experience and uphold the company’s same-day service promise
  • Support development and execution of onboarding, coaching, technical training, leadership development, and safety programs
  • Oversee operational support functions including dispatching, permitting, fleet, facilities, warehouse, and logistics
  • Participate in regional business reviews and leadership meetings to report on business performance and strategic initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal operational and safety requirements
  • Promote and enforce safety best practices across all field operations
  • Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or 10+ years of related leadership experience
  • 10+ years of experience leading business operations with full P&L accountability
  • Proven experience building high-performance cultures and leading cross-functional operations
  • 5+ years of management experience within the residential home service trades industry
  • Strong background in operations, sales, customer service, and organizational development
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, profitability, training, and employee development
  • Strong analytical and business acumen with the ability to interpret KPIs and operational data
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work flexible schedules based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within HVAC, Plumbing, Sewer, and/or Electrical operations
  • Experience using ServiceTitan or similar field service management software
