Project Manager – HVAC Construction | Sacramento, CA


Our client is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout


Responsibilities:

  • Full project lifecycle ownership – scheduling, budgeting, and scope control.
  • Lead preconstruction efforts including estimates, design reviews, and proposals.
  • Manage project finances, monitor costs, and ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Coordinate across Engineering, Procurement, Accounting, and Construction teams.
  • Prepare change orders, contracts, and critical project documentation.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and client relationships.
  • Proactively resolve issues to keep projects on track.
  • Support future business development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing HVAC construction projects ranging from $50K to $25m+.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • PE license or advanced degree (MBA/Masters) a strong plus.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
