As an Assistant General Manager, you will play a key leadership role in daily restaurant operations, supporting the General Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences while building and developing a high-performing team.

Position Overview

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports all aspects of restaurant operations, including service leadership, staff development, financial performance, and guest satisfaction. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about hospitality.

The AGM works closely with the General Manager and culinary leadership to ensure the restaurant operates efficiently while maintaining the high standards that define the Succotash brand.


Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of front-of-house staff

  • Lead pre-shift meetings and coach team members to deliver exceptional hospitality

  • Foster a positive, accountable, and inclusive workplace culture

  • Assist with performance evaluations and ongoing staff development

Guest Experience

  • Ensure every guest receives attentive, memorable service

  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and proactively

  • Maintain Succotash’s reputation for warm Southern hospitality and exceptional dining experiences

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily service operations, including dining room flow, reservations, and service standards

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations

  • Support inventory management, ordering, and cost control initiatives

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency throughout the restaurant

Financial Performance

  • Support the General Manager in achieving revenue goals and managing labor costs

  • Monitor operational metrics and assist with scheduling and staffing levels

  • Contribute to strategies that drive sales and maximize profitability
