TPC River Highlands is a private golf club located in Cromwell, Connecticut, just outside of Hartford. As the proud host of the PGA TOUR's Travelers Championship-the state's largest professional sporting event-it stands as one of the premier destinations in the TPC Network. Alongside its championship golf course, the clubhouse offers an exceptional setting for events of all kinds, with scenic views, multiple event spaces, and two full-service kitchens. The On-Course Server plays a key role in enhancing the member and guest experience by providing professional, responsive food and beverage service throughout the course.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Service-minded professional with at least 6 months of food & beverage experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic food and beverage service procedures
  • Comfortable working outdoors and independently

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Member & Guest Service
  • Greet members and guests warmly, providing immediate and attentive service
  • Take and fulfill food and beverage orders in accordance with established menu and service standards
  • Handle questions, concerns, or service issues courteously and communicate them promptly to a supervisor
  • Adhere to TPC Brand Standards and all PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties guidelines

Operations & Service Standards
  • Open and maintain on-course service areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness at all times
  • Restock and maintain assigned stations at the beginning, during, and end of each shift
  • Complete assigned side work and maintain proper par stock inventory levels
  • Submit requisition forms for supplies as needed

Financial & Compliance Responsibilities
  • Accurately operate the Point of Sale system and verify the accuracy of all charges, including member numbers, signatures, authorization codes, taxes, tips, and applicable fees
  • Accurately process cash and credit transactions, maintain responsibility for all guest checks, and balance and reconcile assigned cash bank, including all funds received, at shift end
  • Report walk-outs or discrepancies immediately to management
  • Ensure compliance with R.A.M./TIPS certification requirements and all State and Federal laws related to alcohol and tobacco service

Additional Duties
  • Participate in ongoing cleaning and upkeep of service areas
  • Support food and beverage operations with special projects or additional responsibilities as assigned

Pay: $6.38/hour base pay
Food & Beverage employees are eligible to earn additional compensation through tips and gratuities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
